| Nov. 28th, 2003 06:50 pm Bliss at 30,000 feet I definitely have something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Flying to Denver en route to Aspen to visit boyziggy's brother yesterday, the flight attendant offered drinks and cookies. I tried to decline, assuming the cookies weren't vegan, but Ziggy assured me that he had checked to make sure they were. He noted that they were fortune cookies, even though they were shaped rather strangely for that. Sure enough I found a little piece of paper inside mine. It said:
"Julie, you are the love of my life. Will you marry me?"
:-) :-) :-)
The flight attendants, pilot, and co-pilot all congratulated us. It was a wonderful surprise. We haven't set a date yet, but we're looking at September-October-ish.
Late that night we had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with Ziggy's brother and friend (and overly-affectionate Golden Retriever). Today we went sightseeing and geocaching. I spotted a bald eagle and a bighorn sheep. I'm so glad Ziggy convinced me to come here, even though it's below freezing out and I'm not up for skiing. The views are breathtaking. Current Mood: happy
