Saturday was my usual voice lesson and contemporary band workshop rehearsal. We've now covered eleven songs in workshop, including two new ones today, one of which I like and the other I'm lukewarm on, but I'm not singing lead on the latter as it turns out. With the new songs I'm getting some additional opportunities to play keyboard, which is good practice. I feel confident that we'll have a good show, especially as we're trying to schedule an extra rehearsal on Thursday of each week. We do need to earmark some time to work on vocal harmonies; though I'm singing lead on most of the songs, having three singers among the five musicians is a definite plus.
Last night I did nothing of note, and today lazed about most of the day until I forced myself to start on some much-needed laundering and housecleaning. Ziggy pitched in soon after coming home from the opera; he's much better about this than I, normally. While life is generally good right now, motivation is at an all-time low and procrastination at an all-time high. Hopefully I will find some way to reverse this trend.
