Philistines and perverts, oh my

Friday night I went with elgecko, thomwatson, and jefftabaco to the San Francisco Opera simulcast of Samson and Delilah at AT&T Park. boyziggy scored us "Friends and Family" seating, so we got access to the section right behind home plate. I'd seen two previous opera simulcasts at Civic Center, but the setting for this one was on a much grander scale; as one announcer wryly noted pre-show, the screen was larger than many of our first (or current) apartments. I took photos of course. I wasn't terribly impressed by this particular opera, though some of the instrumental parts of the music and the dancing were quite engaging. The dangerously adorable elgecko and I munched on ballpark fare and snuggled under a blanket to keep warm. We had a nice walk along the Embarcadero afterward.

Last night gerardp and I dined at Ananda Fuara and then went to the Perverts Put Out readings at CounterPULSE. I'd been to a PPO once before a long time ago I think, possibly in the East Bay with obadiah. Listening to the readers describe sexual acts real, surreal, and imagined, was quite enjoyable, even if some of the texts were outside of my comfort zone. I also enjoyed the variety of costuming spotted both inside and outside the venue, partly owing to the intersection of Saturday's Love Parade and Sunday's Folsom Street Fair.

I'm really loving my new camera and spending far too much time playing with my photos in Lightroom and Photoshop. (Obligatory adorable cat photo) I need to work on editing my concert video now that boyziggy has mostly finished editing the audio. Then I need to get back to helping saizai with the video from his conlangs conference.
