Election 2008

Just so y'all know, I haven't been ignoring the election entirely, even though the mainstream news will pay no attention to my party unless they're seen as threatening to the Demos. My personal choices aside, I did vote this morning, and earlier today was Twittering about the neat Google/Twitter mashup that shows real-time (or close to it) tweets on a world map, and now that the returns are rolling in, it's showing those too. I was intrigued enough to actually spend some time inspecting the code, mostly trying to find which keywords they were using to determine which tweets were related to the election. Closest I got was this Ruby script that queries Twittervision, but I still couldn't find or determine the search criteria. Regardless, a fun site to watch.
