Anyway, I'm excited as this will be my first new desktop Mac in over four years. My first-generation G5 is really showing its age now that I'm processing a lot of video and huge Raw image files. I have a dual-core Intel Mac at work and the speed difference is very noticeable.
Here are the (annotated) specs; it should arrive on Thursday:
Two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon [8 cores baby!]
2GB (2x1GB) [RAM - I'll probably add another 2GB 3rd-party later]
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB [this had better be worth the wait]
500GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb [will definitely add at least one more 3rd-party HD for backup]
One 16x SuperDrive
APPLE MIGHTY MOUSE [won't be used ;-) ]
WIRED KYBRD/MAC OS X
Country Kit
APP FOR MAC PRO - COL/AE-INT [3 year AppleCare extended warranty - has paid for itself every time!]
