My high school friend hopita is buying a four-bedroom house in our hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.

For $54,000.

"It's technically a duplex", she said, "Does that make the price more or less alarming?"

I'm sure all my fellow San Franciscans will join me in speechlessness...
