Will Wright's presentation at the Game Developer's Conference of his new toy-in-development, Spore, is intensely cool. Imagine, guiding the development of a species from the bacteria stage all the way through interstellar travel, and getting to sculpt the animal's body parts at each stage. He said that the stages of this game play homage to all the great games he's enjoyed, including Space Invaders, Populus, and, of course, Sim City.
