McDougall's Revenge

Note to self: Twenty minutes of pleasure from gorging on a veggie cheeseburger, fries, and malted milkshake in an orgy of non-vegan hedonism is not worth the six hours of stomach pain and diarrhea following.

A lunch consisting solely of a large Caramello bar, Doritos, and Dr. Pepper is likewise a Bad Idea.

Julie's jazz concert December 12

I already sent this invite out to those who would most likely be interested, but just in case anyone else is:

I'm singing in a Blue Bear jazz workshop concert on Monday, December 12 at 9:30 p.m. We'll be doing a mix of standards and newer tunes. Our set has eight songs - 3 instrumental, 5 with vocals - and will last approximately an hour. I'm the only singer in this group so I'll have plenty of stage time.

The show is at the Tongue and Groove, 2513 Van Ness at Union in SF. This is a smallish club with a bar and not much else. Seating is very limited so get there early if you don't mind listening to the other class workshops going before mine. Parking is not great but the 47 and 49 buses stop right at the corner. Donation of $10-$20 requested.

Hope to see you there (though I understand if it's too late and/or inconvenient for a weeknight),

- Julie
