Josh Kornbluth Show taping

Anyone who's read this journal for awhile may have an inkling that I'm a big fan of Josh Kornbluth. The other week he posted in his blog (joshkqedblog) that he'd be taping an episode of the Josh Kornbluth Show in front of a live audience tonight at the JCCSF, which is right across the street from my office! Of course I had to go.

I would have gone to the taping no matter who the guest was, but this one did not disappoint: Walter Isaacson, former chair of CNN and editor of Time, now author of Einstein: His Life and Universe. This book is getting some serious attention; I saw the author interviewed on the NBC Nightly News the other week. While physics (and science in general) is not my area of expertise, sadly, I enjoyed hearing anecdotes about this great genius. Josh peppered the conversation heavily with humor, where appropriate. Afterward I asked boyziggy to take a photo; I think we finally managed to get a good one!

Look for this episode to air on KQED Monday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. It will also be available streaming online and as a podcast (which is how we normally view it).
