It keeps you runnin'

I tightened my belt another notch this morning. To celebrate and help ensure that I don't backslide again before reaching my goal weight, I've signed up for the 5K portion of the San Francisco Marathon, which I last ran in 2005. If I continue to lose weight at my current pace, I should be close to my goal of 125 pounds by the August 3 race date. It should be a lot easier to run without twenty pounds of extra flab hanging off my belly and thighs.

If nothing else, I'll have the motivation to actually do those after-work jogs in Golden Gate Park once I start my new job, rather than just talking about it. Anyone want to join me?
