Nicked and dimed
You know you have hoarded too many pennies when the kitchen scale displays "error" on attempting to weigh them. Bathroom scale tells me about 12 1/2 pounds worth. Somewhat less impressive collection of nickels and dimes, plus about $13 worth of quarters (yay laundry), not counting my 50 state collection of which I'm currently missing six (Alabama, Arizona, Hawaii, Missouri, New Mexico, and Utah). Also, a handful of dollar coins, a couple of wheat-ear pennies separated out from the rest, and assorted foreign currency from Canada, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
