Getting ready to race

Tomorrow's the half-marathon. I've been setting the alarm an hour earlier each day to prepare for the 6:30 a.m. start time. Unfortunately getting out of bed does not necessarily correspond with when the alarm goes off. Hence today's 5:30 a.m. alarm turned into a nearly 9 a.m. get-up time. *sigh*

Went to the race expo with boyziggy yesterday, and managed to only spend $28 (three pairs of socks and five Clif Shots). Tempted to get a lot more stuff, but wisely brought only one tote bag to haul goodies. Impressed by the quality of the actual race T-shirt (included in the registration fee), but I will probably don my well-worn 2005 SF Marathon shirt for tomorrow. (Even though I only did the 5K that year...)

No exercise today; going to stay home, relax, work on a backlog of photos, eat a light dinner and get to bed early. I might give Twitter/Facebook updates from the start and finish line tomorrow, but not in between. Ziggy should get an automatic text when I pass the 7 mile mark, which will hopefully be shortly before 8 a.m. If anyone is inclined you should be able to look me up on race day at this site; I'm number 21217.
