McDougall Program Day 11

Morning weights: Julie 140 1/2, Ziggy 192

Julie breakfast: Brown rice with pureed banana and dates; herbal tea with sugar and almond milk

Ziggy breakfast: Cereal with almond milk; tea; pineapple

Julie lunch: Quinoa salad with beans, corn, and tomatoes; cilantro-potato soup; whole-wheat bread

Ziggy lunch: Cucumber-bean salad; veggie chicken noodle soup

Julie snacks: Sweet potato biscuit; hot cocoa

Ziggy snacks: Baked apple rice

Julie dinner: Quinoa salad with spinach and beans; hot cocoa

Ziggy dinner: Kale-cucumber-lemon juice with wheatgrass; kale salad; quinoa, sprouts and veggies with tahini sauce

Julie exercise: Approx 1 hour walking

Ziggy exercise: Approx 30 min walk to work

Feelings: Generally very good. Lazy till afternoon, but got some cooking, cleaning, and bass practice in. Had a date in Berkeley tonight, fortunately with a vegan guy so we went to Herbivore. Their quinoa salad wasn't as good as the McDougall one I made earlier, and the dressing might have had oil in it, but I'm sure it was a lower-fat choice than the pesto ravioli I usually order at that restaurant.

Definitely feeling a looser fit in my size 12 jeans. Even if I don't lose any more weight on the scale by the end of this diet tomorrow night, I feel this program has been a success.
