Today's run

Today I ran out of excuses for not running, and headed out to Aquatic Park around 10 a.m. It was raining a bit, but not too chilly. Two and a half miles in 39 minutes - ugh. That damn hill...

Part of why I like running and walking outdoors rather than on a treadmill in a gym is it gives me a chance to see what's going on in my city. Workers were still taking apart the stadium seating at the park, no doubt slowed by the rain. I noticed the sign for the project said that it started in October 2008 and was expected to take "12-18 months". Now, I know absolutely nothing about construction, but doesn't a six-month window estimate for completion seem rather... generous? Our tax dollars at work I suppose...
