Today's run, and Bay to Breakers plan

Forced myself outside today for a run to Aquatic Park. I was really miserable climbing the hill on the way back. Finished in 38'54" for a glacial 15.3 min/mile pace. Not at all surprising since I've barely been exercising for the past month. But I'm really only competing against myself, and keeping my heart rate up for a reasonable amount of time is what matters.

I'm still planning to run in Bay to Breakers this Sunday. I doubt I'll be able to make the 12 minute mile pace I'd planned, so I'll line up at the very back of that pace group. I'll do 9 minute run, 1 minute walk intervals. I don't have a sexy/fun costume ready, nor do I feel like putting one together at this stage, so I'll just go for comfort and wear a colorful sports bra and running shorts.

Anyone else planning to run/walk this Sunday? This will be my first Bay to Breakers, I'm looking forward to it.
