Recent photo shoots

Still recovering from my cold, but a brief rundown of recent events:

Last Tuesday I posted an ad in Craigslist for my photo services, and within an hour got a response, asking if I could do a shoot for a VIP developer party hosted by CloudMade the following evening. I did so, posting the event photos live during the evening, despite five or six power outages. It was a good experience, and I got paid my full stated rate for the event, and also learned a bit about sending invoices through PayPal.

Then on Friday I shot a benefit concert for ArtsChange, an event I heard about from the guitar player from my Blue Bear R&B workshop. I asked him if I could shoot it for the cost of the lowest-priced ticket (as it was a benefit), and he agreed. I'm very happy with how the photos came out, though they took me a long time to sort through and edit as I took so many.

Tomorrow through Wednesday, I'll be shooting all the student showcases for Blue Bear at Café du Nord. I'm not going to get my SoFoBoMo project finished on time at this point, as tomorrow is Day 31 and I've gotten nothing done on it this week, but I'll still try to complete it by the end of the month.
