San Francisco Mime Troupe - the funcrunch files

Jun. 11th, 2004 05:47 pm San Francisco Mime Troupe

As many of you know, boyziggy is audio engineer for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, so I will be at a lot of their shows this summer. As many of you also know, the Mime Troupe is a very leftist political musical theater group; they do not do Marcel Marceau-style mime.

I've had a pretty dismal record getting people interested in coming to things I've posted in my LJ, but just in case my luck changes, below are the shows I'm most likely to attend* ** (full schedule also available):

July 3-5, Dolores Park, San Francisco

July 10-11, Cedar Rose Park, Berkeley

August 1, Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco

August 14-15, Live Oak Park, Berkeley

August 21, Peacock Meadow - Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

August 22, Washington Square Park, San Francisco

September 4-6, Dolores Park, San Francisco

All shows start at 2 p.m. with live music at 1:30 p.m., and are *free* (donations very gratefully accepted).

* Unless I end up taking a Saturday class at Blue Bear, which I should find out when I interview there on Tuesday.

** Cross-posted (with somewhat different wording) to QVSSF.

I'm sorry but the title "audio engineer for the San Francisco Mime Troupe" does not sound like a very challenging job.

Do they also have someone holding cue cards so they don't forget their lines?
