Came down with the kind of cold where I was shaking with chills even though it was 82 degrees in the apartment. Fever reached 101.9 last night. Could barely even sit up or eat. My soulmate boyziggy was a lifesaver, coming home on his dinner break during a 15-hour workday to check on me and bring me wonton soup.

Fever broke last night so I'm not quite so miserable, but still very wobbly, not to mention the congestion and hacking. Phoned Blue Bear folks to let them know it's not looking good for me shooting the benefit tonight. Already communicated same over IM last night so I know the afternoon Destination Fort Mason shoot will be covered, at least, if it's not rained out. I've shot while sick before, with the aid of DayQuil, but I really don't feel like I'm in a condition to be in a loud auditorium for several hours when I can barely stand up.

Hope I recover enough by tomorrow to go out with Dad when he visits; he's not the type to want to sit around in our cluttered apartment for hours on a rare visit to SF.
