Tummy troubles - the funcrunch files

Without going into the ugly details, I've been having trouble keeping down solid food this week. Coming off of a bad cold followed by laryngitis during my busiest month of the year, I initially thought it was food poisoning, but now suspect something worse. I'll visit the doctor if I can't start eating normally again today (nothing but liquids and two bites of cake since Friday night so far). In the meantime: any suggestions for bland, vegan foods I might be able to tolerate?

In similar circumstances, my physician recommended I stick to plain cooked rice, and applesauce... hope it ends soon. (hug)

My friend Ann said the best things for an iffy tummy are the "BRAT Diet" -- Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. And all of them are vegan!

I'm trying the applesauce today, though when I had some on Wednesday I ended up throwing up anyway...

I too was going to say the BRAT diet. I usually eat mushy white rice and drink 7-Up or ginger ale to recover from food poisoning.

Yikes! Doctor!

I thought food poisoning was only supposed to be 24hrs. Unless it's botulism or something. You don't have double vision, do you? (then ER!)

Of course, I'm such a hypocrite. When I get stomach flu, I just don't eat anything because I'm a wuss when it comes to puking. otoh, it tends to be pretty clearly flu.

Jello (a problem for some vegans, so maybe not), gatorade?

BRAT diet too, but everyone has mentioned that already.

Also saltines, if they're vegan.
