Cody's in SF

I just read that Cody's, my favorite Berkeley bookstore, will be opening a branch in downtown San Francisco this August. It will be great to walk or cable-car to shop there instead of going to corporate Borders.

I used to live just a block away from the Cody's on Telegraph, way back in '92-'93 after I first moved to California to attend graduate school at Cal. I was living at the Rochdale student co-op on Haste Street. Living that close to a bookstore was dangerously tempting on my $850/month fellowship stipend, but I loved going there and browsing the large collection of books and magazines.
