I'm pondering whether I should make this a weight-loss goal. I waited until I lost 10 pounds before buying my first iPod, and the timing was just right as I was able to buy my 3G the day they announced that model. My weight has yo-yo'd a bit since then and I'm currently at about 155. I'd like to get down to 125 or, ideally but probably not realistically, 115. (I'm 5' 4", medium build.)
Alternately, I could make a running-related goal, i.e. save a certain number of dollars for each mile I run until I have enough to buy the iPod. I have enough money to buy it immediately, I'm just trying to motivate myself to get in shape and avoid impulse purchases at the same time. I think I'll put up a poll.
