Jazz jammin' again - the funcrunch files

Apr. 9th, 2006 11:02 pm Jazz jammin' again

I got into another jazz workshop at Blue Bear! This is the second time the director of the school has personally phoned to ask me to be the vocalist for this class. I feel honored. I also really like the instructor, Jim Peterson, who taught last year's workshop.

Classes are on Fridays, the night before my weekly voice lesson with jazz vocalist Vicki Burns. Our show this term should be around June 19-21.

Very cool! I'm looking forward to the concert.

Your voice teacher sounds great, too; you're lucky to be having lessons from her.

Uh...Hi Cliff! Guess you don't remember me? Well, it has been years...You look marvelous in that photo. Are you still playing sitar? Did you finish your MA? Love to catch up sometime. I must say, Julie is a wonderful student (and I feel a bit odd doing this "hi there" in her blog, sorry Julie!) You can reach me at sirensong2001@yahoo.com if you wanna say "hi" back...

Best,
Vicki Burns you know, your old Housemate from Wisteria House ;)

Cool, you're on LJ too! And you know Cliff! Awesome.

In case they didn't/don't get the message to you at Blue Bear, no singing for me this weekend as I'm still sick and coughing my head off. :-( :-(

Hey Julie!
I did get the message...get well soon! I'm sorry your feeling so sick. Got your PDFs and will start shedding on "Pork Pie Hat". Hope to see you next week! Oh, and Cliff first lived at Wisteria House when he moved to Oakland from Texas...I'm surprised he didn't remember me, but it has been *gasp* 11 years!

Best,
Vicki
