A co-worker just handed me a box containing the second part of my three-item shipment from Apple; the extended warranty. In contrast to the elegant monitor packaging, I'm wondering why the hell they needed to put something consisting of a few pieces of paper and a single CD (containing a utility program) into a sizable box with an inflated plastic bag for protection.
In other news, I got in a nice 45-50 minute walk yesterday after work. I wasn't planning on walking all the way home, but it was a cool day, and once I got to the halfway point I decided to just keep going. I should make an effort to walk home most days, at least until we set the clocks back in a month or so.

It feels good to be cooking and eating healthy food again. I've lost about 1 1/2 pounds since Saturday, so I'm right on track. (I know I shouldn't weigh myself every day, but it does make me feel accomplished when the scale moves in the right direction!)
