Haven't gotten around to compiling that link-list for our Seattle-Vancouver trip yet, but photos are still available.

Sunday, boyziggy and I went to see the Mime Troupe at Yerba Buena Gardens with my friend Mike from work (I'd invited some others also, but they didn't get back to me and/or had other plans). Still a great show; make sure to catch it sometime between now and Labor Day.

Last night we had a fun evening with emmett_the_sane snuggling on the couch watching The Lathe of Heaven (the original PBS version, not the weak Lisa Bonet remake). The author, Ursula K. Le Guin, is a favorite of mine, and of several other friends as well. Yesterday I gave a copy of her short story collection, The Birthday of the World, to my boss for his birthday.

I have heard good things about the PBS version of Lathe, but have never seen it. The recent remake was truly dreadful, not worth the plastic it's printed on.

Thanks! I think you have to mouse over the photo to get the Pause button, which otherwise disappears after a bit; I don't usually use that feature, but I just tested in Firefox and that's what I saw.
